The Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) is committed to the safety and well-being of
all attendees, exhibitors and staff.

OTC Asia is dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment in compliance and following the regulations and guidance provided by the Malaysian Government, the event venue facility - Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, and health authorities. 

The safety precautions outlined below are subject to change to comply with applicable government regulations. Further details on health and safety measures will be published here and communicated with attendees regularly. 

Health Advisory

Please self-test prior to attending the event* in accordance with the Malaysian Ministry of Health’s National COVID-19 Testing Strategy.

Please note that only the following types of individuals are permitted entry to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre:

  • Fully vaccinated** in accordance with MySejahtera (Malaysia's contact tracing app)
  • A COVID-19 risk status of “Low Risk”, “Casual Contact no Symptoms”, or "Clost Contact no Symptoms" in MySejahtera (Malaysia’s contact tracing app):

The above information is at 15 March 2022 and is subject to change. 
*Participants who test positive or are sympotmatic are not allowed to attend. 
**Event attendees who are exempted from vaccination will only be allowed entry if they can provide a medical certificate that exempts them from vaccination on medical grounds. Medically exempted attendees will need to take a RTK-Ag self-test supervised by the Organiser.

Safety Measures

MaskWearing face masks will be mandatory on-site (non-compliance may result in government enforced penalties).

SanitisationSanitisation stations will be accessible throughout the venue.

Frequent cleaning and disinfection will be carried out, especially in high touchpoint and footfall areas.

 

Social DistancingControlled crowd density in accordance with government guidance.

Capacity limits in session rooms, dining areas and at the exhibition.

Refrain from physical contact.

Practice social distancing.

AlertRegular messaging regarding health and safety measures before and during the event.

Increased health and safety signage during the event.

 

Venue Safety

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is the first venue in Malaysia to be certified “Safe Business Evens (SafeBE) Venue” by Bureau Veritas, the renowned international certification body. This certification recognises the comprehensive safety and hygiene guidelines and measures the Centre has put in place since the pandemic and its strict enforcement of processes and procedures in compliance with the government’s Covid-19 health and safety requirement and standards.
